The 2021 International Conference of Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports and the 16th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference, were held in Bijiang District, Tongren City from September 26 to 28. The conference was also accompanied by the "Dialogue among World Famous Mountains (Fanjing Mountain)", which was held at Jinjiang Hotel in Tongren City on the afternoon of September 27, 2021. At the event, Professor Wu Bihu delivered a keynote speech on the theme of the construction of a classification and evaluation system for world famous tourist mountains, with the main content being the "Classification and Evaluation Svstem of World Famous Tourism Mountains". The research report was jointly published by the Research Center for Geographical Sciences and the Tourism Research Center of Peking University, in collaboration with the International Mountain Alliance.

Professor Wu Bihu introduced the development trend of world mountain tourism, the definition, formation reasons, classification and evaluation basis and evaluation standards of world famous tourist mountains, and the reference for international standard evaluation. World-renowned tourist mountains are influential mountain tourism destinations worldwide. They are formed based on mountain tourism resources, have experienced a long period of human cultural deposition, have relatively complete tourism infrastructure, provide high-quality tourism services for visitors, and have a great influence worldwide.
The Report divides the world's famous tourist mountains into national famous mountains, cultural famous mountains, and natural famous mountains based on the differences in core tourism resources from a tourism perspective. This is conducive to clearly and explicitly demonstrating the formation mechanism, nature and characteristics, and core resources of world-class mountain tourism destinations, fully developing and utilizing the recreational opportunities and cultural and natural education opportunities they provide, and enriching the basic research on mountain tourism development. Subsequently, Fu Yingchun, the Executive Secretary General of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance, released the Report for Tourism to the conference, which received unanimous praise.
The Research of the Report jointly released by the International Mountain Tourism Alliance, the Geographical Science Research Center of Peking University, and the Tourism Research and Planning Center of the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences of Peking University can not only fill the gaps in world mountain tourism research, strengthen dialogue between different mountain cultures, but also contribute to the development and growth of world famous mountains, explore diversified collaborative development models among famous mountains, and have both academic and social significance. After the conference, the Report will be placed on the official website of the alliance for members and domestic and foreign industry insiders to use, aiming to build a platform for communication and cooperation in world famous tourist mountains tourism and promote common and friendly development.
