With the launch of the AeroMetro urban cable car project, Guatemala City has opened a new chapter in the history of its public transportation. This is not only the country's first urban cable car system but also one of the largest in the world in terms of passenger capacity and infrastructure scale. The Doppelmayr Group has been selected as the construction partner for this transformative public transport project. The AeroMetro project consists of two cable car lines with a total length of 8.6 kilometers, 12 stations, and is scheduled for completion in 2028.
