Since the start of the summer, the cross-border cultural tourism, parent-child study tours, and commuter travel between Zhuhai and Macao in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area have continued to surge, with passenger traffic remaining high at various ports in Zhuhai. As the core gateway connecting the mainland to Macao, Gongbei Port has maintained persistently high passenger flow. According to data released by the Gongbei Border Inspection Station on August 31, the station processed nearly 22 million entry-exit passengers during the summer period, up 1.8% year-on-year.

This summer, driven by multiple factors such as Zhuhai-Macao cultural tourism collaboration, summer study tours, short-haul cross-border travel, and regular cross-border commuting, passenger flow at Gongbei Port exhibited notable characteristics including "large total volume, high peak values, concentrated time periods, and diverse travel purposes."

Statistics from the Gongbei Border Inspection Station show that during the summer vacation, the station processed an average of nearly 355,000 entry-exit passengers per day, with peak flows concentrated on weekends and during the morning and evening rush hours. On weekends in early August, two-way daily passenger flow exceeded 430,000.
