On August 20, the press conference for the 2026 China Cultural Tourism Industry Expo was held. It was announced that the Expo will take place from September 3 to 6 at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center. Under the theme "Deepening Cultural Tourism Integration, Creating a Better Life with Intelligence," the Expo will showcase new business models, new formats, and new scenarios in the development of the cultural tourism industry, presenting the latest trends in the development of digital and smart cultural tourism .

This year's Expo is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, and co-organized by the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and Beijing Xinglv International Media Co., Ltd.  The China Cultural Tourism Industry Expo is the result of a merger between the former "China Tourism Industry Expo" and the "China (Wuhan) Cultural Tourism Expo." This year marks the third edition of the merged Expo and the second time it is being held in Tianjin .

The International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) will also make a prominent appearance at the Expo, bringing a specially designed exhibition booth to meet with visitors in Tianjin .
