From January to May 2026, Indonesia received a total of 6.07 million foreign tourist arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 7.68 percent. In May alone, the country welcomed 1.38 million foreign tourists, up 5.83 percent compared to the same month last year. By country of origin, the top three source markets for foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in May were Malaysia with 298,200 arrivals, accounting for 21.58 percent of the total foreign tourist arrivals, followed by Australia with 155,000 arrivals and Singapore with 136,700 arrivals, ranking second and third respectively.
