On April 13, data from the Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection showed that the total number of passengers passing through Shenzhen's ports in the first quarter of this year reached 73.44 million, a year-on-year increase of 14.6%. Among them, 36.49 million were inbound passengers (up 14.9%) and 36.95 million were outbound passengers (up 14.3%). During the same period, the number of entry-exit vehicles and vessels reached 3.48 million.
Driven by policies such as the 240-hour transit visa-free access and mutual visa exemptions, cross-border mobility continued to heat up. In the first quarter, the Shenzhen General Station processed 2.02 million border crossings by foreign nationals, a year-on-year increase of 31.3%. Among them, 460,000 foreign nationals entered China visa-free, a sharp increase of 58.1% year-on-year. These favorable policies have significantly boosted cross-border travel, demonstrating Shenzhen's vitality as a frontier open city.
