From July 16 to 17, 2026, Liu Zhaohui, Vice Chairman of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA), led a delegation to Beijing and visited the World Animal Protection and the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) for talks. All parties reached multiple areas of consensus on topics for future cooperation including green development of culture and tourism, integration of ecological conservation, international resource connectivity, and joint platform building.

During the talks, the IMTA and the respective organizations introduced their resources and key initiatives, and engaged in in-depth discussions on integrating ecological civilization concepts into mountain tourism, co-building public welfare projects, exchanging industry standards, talent development, and co-hosting brand events. The talks established a pragmatic and efficient communication bridge. Looking ahead, all parties will adhere to resource sharing and complementary advantages, refine cooperation details, and steadily advance the implementation of various cooperation initiatives, jointly promoting the integrated development of mountain culture and tourism, ecological conservation, and international urban cultural tourism collaboration to a new level.
