Qingdao Laoshan Famous Scenic Area is one of the first national scenic spots approved and announced by the State Council in 1982. It is the only national 5A scenic spot in Qingdao. With a planning area of 471 square kilometers and the highest peak of 1132.7 meters above sea level, the scenic spot is the highest peak on China's ten thousand mile coastline and has the reputation of "the first famous mountain on the sea" since ancient times. In 2018, the scenic spot received 4.053 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%, realizing a tourism revenue of 850 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%.
