Since its inaugural session was held in Guizhou in 2015, the Conference has consistently advanced the integration of tourism, sports, and culture. It began with the release of the International Mountain Tourism Guizhou Declaration and has issued several key industry documents, including the World Tourism Poverty Reduction Guizhou Declaration and the International Mountain Tourism Health Declaration. By organizing numerous international events and competitions over the years, the Conference has not only significantly elevated the international profile of Guizhou's mountain tourism but also, in 2019, introduced China's first prefecture-level mountain tourism standard system, establishing a "Guizhou model" for the standardized development of the industry.
