
Shennongjia Forestry District in central China's Hubei Province has combined the protection of eastern honey bees and the development of a bee-related industrial chain, achieving biodiversity conservation and economic development. The bee population has grown from 4,000 to over 40,000 since Shennongjia became a protection zone in 2011.
