As a well-known tourism expert, he engaged in tourism research and practical work for 35 years, published about 50 publications and more than 20 million words, participated in major decisions on the development of Chinese tourism industry, drafted core documents of the Chinese State Council on tourism development, and participated in the formulation of tourism regulations.
