International organizations will take the lead in discussing ways to tourism revitalize | IMTA Annual Conference will be held soon

On 21 December, 2021, the 2021 IMTA Annual Conference will hold via videoconferencing for the first time. The main venue will at IMTA headquarters, and members all over the world attended the Conference via videoconferencing. Attendees share insights and discussed on the theme “How Can International Organizations Play a Leading Role in Global Tourism Recovery and Reshaping Governance”. IMTA leaders and member units, international organizations, industry experts, and media representatives will connect online and offline in the same time . The Conference will also invite leaders of the Guizhou Provincial Government to address the Conference. Joining hands to explored the methods and patterns of normalizing pandemic prevention and control and reshaping tourism in the Post-COVID world, and promised to jointly face challenges and revitalize world tourism via optimism, solidarity, teamwork, and creativity.

During the Conference, Dominique de Villepin, Chairman of the IMTA and former French Prime Minister, and Shao Qiwei, Vice Chairman of the IMTA, will address the Conference. He Yafei, Secretary-General of the IMTA, will brief on the IMTA’s Annual Work Report and give a keynote speech. Guizhou Province, the initiator of the IMTA, attaches great importance to and provides strong support to the Annual Conference of IMTA. The Vice Governor of the People's Government of Guizhou Province Tan Jiong will attend and address the Conference.

Focusing on the two topics of "Reshaping and Governance of Tourism during the Pandemic" and "Innovative Construction of a Future-oriented International Tourism Organization Cooperation Platform and Mechanism", Francisco Francali, Honorary Secretary-General of World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Julia Simpson, President and CEO of World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), Xu Jing, Former Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, UNWTO, Dai Bin, President of China Tourism Academy (CTA), Wei Xiao’an, President of China Tourism Leisure Association, and Emma Chen, Global Vice President of the International Organization Für Volkskunst (IOV), Chen Tiejun,Chairman of Hainan Tourism Investment&Development Co., Ltd. and other guests will also give keynote speeches.

In addition, all the leaders who came to the Conference will also licensing for the hosting site of 2022 “International Mountain Tourism Day”, inauguration IMTA Mountain and Hot Spring Wellness Specialized Committee, and issuing certificates to new IMTA members
