Dear members,

First of all, we wish you a Happy New Year!

Global tourism was hit hard by COVID-19 in 2020. We worked together to meet the challenge and tide over the hard times. The "2020 Annual Conference of International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA)" that took place on 18 November is a great event of milestone significance. With the theme of "The Path of Mountain Tourism Development in the Post-COVID World", the conference pooled members' wisdom, built a broad consensus among the industry, explored a path for the normalization of pandemic prevention and the rejuvenation of tourism and mountain tourism in the post-COVID world, called on the world to work together to rejuvenate tourism and promote the healthy development of sustainable tourism, and showed the high ideological level, values and responsibility of tourism practitioners.

On the eve of the New Year, we would like to pay high respect to you and all tourism colleagues with great expectation and attitude, and express our most heartfelt thanks to you for your unremitting efforts and support!

Tourism will still be recovering in 2021 which is bound to be another unusual year. Winter has come, spring can be expected. We believe that the pandemic will be beaten by human wisdom and eventually leave. Let's stay united, overcome all difficulties and make great efforts to rejuvenate our beloved mountain tourism as early as possible.

Hereby we call on you to uphold the purpose of IMTA, leverage your advantages in specialties, intelligence, connections and channels, take it upon yourselves to promote the sustainable development of tourism, strengthen collaboration through exploration and innovation, seize every opportunity to make mountain tourism recover first, and make our contributions to the full rejuvenation of global tourism.

We look forward to the disappearance of haze, the shining of the sun, the return of tourism and the prosperity of mountain tourism in the New Year.

To conclude, we would like to extend best wishes and sincere greetings to you and your families, wish you safety, good health, a happy family and all the best!
