CIIE brings Guizhou $1.77b in contract signings

Targeting high-level overseas business cooperation, Southwest China's Guizhou province organized an economic and trade exchange conference at the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on Nov 6.

During the conference, 40 projects, totaling $1.77 billion, were signed, including 30 investment projects involving equipment manufacturing, chemicals, food, medicine, logistics, and energy conservation, as well as 10 trade projects.

To date, Guizhou has established trade relations with over 190 countries and regions. Its frequent exchanges with global partners have made Guizhou one of China's fastest growing provinces, with its economic growth ranking tops in the country for eight consecutive years.

Guizhou seeks cooperation opportunities with national and international leading agricultural companies on its featured agricultural industries, such as tea, vegetables, and traditional Chinese medicinal crops.

As one of China's first big data comprehensive pilot areas, Guizhou strives to promote the in-depth integration of big data, AI, cloud computing, and blockchain with the real economy, while continue to extend the upstream and downstream industrial chain of big data with the help of world class internet companies.

In addition to business agreement signings, CIIE attendees are able to have direct contact with Guizhou's scenery and specialties at the cultural tourism and food exhibition area.
