On December 8, 2025, Tourism and Events Queensland and Fliggy, the leading online travel platform under Alibaba Group, signed a strategic cooperation memorandum in Hangzhou. This initiative aims to comprehensively promote richer and more in-depth Queensland travel content to Fliggy's continuously growing high-value user base. This move represents another significant advancement in their existing marketing partnership, jointly expressing a firm commitment to sustain and elevate their long-term collaboration.

Building upon existing achievements, both parties plan to explore more diverse and innovative marketing approaches. They will collaborate on tourism product development, market trend analysis, and deepen cooperation in areas such as direct flight promotions, themed tourism product design, and marketing of major festivals and sporting events to continuously stimulate Chinese travelers' enthusiasm for visiting Queensland. This partnership will further advance the implementation of Queensland's Destination 2045 strategy—a visionary blueprint charting the state's tourism development over the next two decades—and accelerate Queensland's goal of becoming the premier destination for Chinese travelers visiting Australia.
