The cultural hotspot of Xijiang Thousand Households Miao Village maintained its appeal. With its glittering night lights and consistently sold-out folk performances, it offered visitors a deep immersion into rich ethnic culture. Although past its blooming season, the Baili Azalea Scenic Area remained a popular choice thanks to its cool climate and ecological hiking trails, providing an ideal getaway for those seeking to reconnect with nature and unwind.
Specialized tourism projects were particularly sought after, with thrilling rafting experiences standing out. Rafting destinations like Yedong River, Feiyu Valley, and Luobei River became top choices for family trips and corporate team-building activities, offering both exhilarating adventures and refreshing coolness. The newly developed Yunman Lake International Leisure Tourism Resort attracted urban visitors with its premium camping options and charming lakeside holiday experiences. Additionally, the Houer Tiankeng Extreme Cool Play Park in Kaiyang County, Guiyang, performed impressively, with average daily ticket sales in July growing by 170% compared to June and 191% compared to May, drawing in thrill-seeking tourists.
The demand for summer escapes also boosted nighttime tourism. According to Qunar travel data, overall nighttime attraction ticket bookings during this summer increased by 20% year-on-year. In Guizhou, nighttime tourism projects such as the Huangguoshu Waterfall Night Tour remained highly popular. Industry analysis suggests that the rapid rise in popularity of these projects and products clearly reflects growing tourist demand for diverse experiences such as in-depth ecological tours, ethnic culture immersion, and outdoor sports. This trend signals a significant transformation in Guizhou's tourism industry, shifting from traditional sightseeing to more engaging and participatory experiential travel.
