In August, Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Museum continued to experience a peak in visitor numbers.
Since the start of the summer vacation, as summer tourism in "Cool Guiyang" gained momentum, the museum has emerged as a new favorite for families and study-tour groups, joining traditional popular attractions like Qingyan Ancient Town and Qianling Mountain Park.

During the summer of 2025, guided by the integrated concept of "science + education + practice," the museum launched multiple theme-focused and content-rich study-tour programs. These activities attracted families from within the province and beyond, making the museum a hotspot for scientific exploration and hands-on learning among primary and secondary school students. This has sparked a trend of "learning through play" in science education.
The museum currently houses seven permanent thematic exhibition halls, including core zones such as the China Lunar Exploration Exhibition, Cornerstone of Intelligence, Human and Health, Entering the Big Data Era, and the Children’s Science and Technology Park, along with temporary exhibition areas and a 4D cinema.

Located on the first floor, the China Lunar Exploration Exhibition Hall—the first of its kind at the provincial level in China—showcases models of the Long March carrier rockets, a VR experience of the Chang’e lunar exploration project, and an interactive astronaut suit exhibit. Here, children not only learn about the advancements in aerospace technology but also feel inspired to dream of exploring the universe.
The core exhibition area on the second floor covers mathematics, physics, and robotics, with interactive installations being a major highlight. In the Go game area with an intelligent robot, children concentrate deeply on each move as black and white stones form a intense battle of wits. In front of mechanical equipment, young visitors watch gears, chains, and linkages operate in an orderly manner through glass panels, their faces filled with curiosity and excitement as they ponder the scientific principles at work.

Each scene captures the unforgettable moments children experience at the museum, quietly planting the seeds of scientific curiosity and igniting their passion for knowledge and exploration. For many out-of-town visitors, a trip to Guiyang offers not only a respite from the heat but also a meaningful opportunity for their children to gain valuable knowledge and experiences in a city brimming with scientific charm.
