In 2023, the first batch of national park master plans were released and implemented, the legislative work of the National Park Law continued to advance, and the ecosystem functions continued to recover and improve. Since its establishment, Sanjiangyuan National Park has invested nearly 7 billion yuan in implementing a series of ecological restoration projects, achieving overall protection of the headwaters of the Yangtze River, Yellow River, and Lancang River, and restoring the population of Tibetan antelopes to over 70000. The Giant Panda National Park has implemented the construction of key ecological corridors such as Huangtuliang and Niba Mountains between the populations of Jiuzhai Baima, Motianling, Daxiangling, and Qionglai Mountains, promoting habitat connectivity and cross regional exchange of local populations of giant pandas. The Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park has opened up cross-border channels for tigers and leopards, and the population of Northeast tigers has recovered to over 50. The number of Northeast leopards has exceeded 60, and the survival rate of wild Northeast tiger cubs has increased to over 50%.
