The Mountain Sentinels Collaborative Network is carrying out a survey that aims to provide a global assessment of collaborative research practices related to environmental sustainability. The Mountain Sentinels Collaborative Network is composed of scholars, non-governmental and governmental organizations and stakeholders all working towards the sustainability of mountain environments worldwide. It establishes this by using and developing coupled social-ecological models to explore current and future conditions in mountains and as tools for communication, learning and decision-making as well as identifying best practices for successful transdisciplinary approaches effectively linking science with policy and practice to better address critical challenges and problems in mountains. The survey aims to gather insights on the most important activities and the most significant barriers to assess commonalities across collaborative research projects worldwide.

Results will be used to better understand the activities and outcomes associated with successful collaborative environmental research worldwide. The survey is offered in four languages (English, Spanish, Chinese and French) and takes approximately 20 minutes. Participation is voluntary and responses will remain confidential. If you have any questions about the research, please contact Cara Steger at Cara.Steger@Colostate.edu.
