On April 22, the World Earth Day, Ctrip Group, together with Accor Group, Ascott Hotel Group, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Banyan Tree Group, Naked Retreats, Ctrip Holiday Farm, Licheng Group, Wanda Hotels and Resorts and other hotel groups, made a joint voice to call on the industry to pay attention to low-carbon actions and jointly promote sustainable travel. By "joining the low-carbon hotel standards to practice the goal of reducing carbon emissions by 37.5% in the Paris Agreement, providing various carbon reduction measures from construction to operation, and providing low-carbon initiatives for tourists", they will provide more environmentally friendly travel products for travelers and protect the homeland of mankind. According to Ctrip's data, as of now, 2,000 hotels have been selected as Ctrip's low-carbon hotel standards, which have jointly driven 4.3 million tourists to stay in low-carbon hotels, reducing a total of 17,200 tons of carbon emissions, which is equivalent to planting 950,000 trees.
