It is understood that the Hainan Tourism Development Research Institute will begin preparations for construction in 2022, initiated by Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism and Culture, Radio, Television and Sports, and jointly supported by Hainan University and Hainan Tourism Investment Development Co., LTD., with the purpose of carrying out tourism development research, mainly serving the high-quality development of Hainan tourism and the construction of an international tourism consumption center. The business scope is divided into five areas: first, tourism development strategy research; Second, research on the construction policy of Hainan International Tourism Consumption Center; Third, academic exchanges on tourism development; Fourth, tourism personnel exchange training; Fifth, statistical analysis of tourism consumption data.
