Laos, a slightly secretive, landlocked country, has recently become unusually hot.

CNN named it one of the top destinations to visit in 2023

In January 2023, CNN listed Laos as one of the most underrated places in Asia and one of the best places to go in 2023.

Named one of National Geographic magazine's 25 most attractive countries

Laos made the list, becoming the only ASEAN country to be included in the "Best Destinations of the Year" list, mainly because its traditional tourism industry is a perfect interpretation of "protecting nature". Although Laos is a landlocked country, it is more convenient to get around now that the Laos-China railway is in operation.

Wanderlust, a popular travel magazine, has named Laos' famous tourist attractions among the world's Best Places to visit in January 2023. The magazine says: Enjoy the Parisian atmosphere of the capital Vientiane and spend your sweet time in Luang Prabang. After all, there are more than 33 temples to visit, endless night market stalls, and a mountain worth climbing -- Mount Pusi.

 

【 Vientiane 】

Vientiane was a thriving commercial center as early as the 17th century. Modern Vientiane, the streets are not wide but the market is very busy. The suburbs of the city are mostly wooden and bamboo buildings in the style of the old Dragon people.

Tharuan

Xiangthong Temple

The grandest temple in Luang Prabang. Built by King Setthathirat in 1560, it was the private property of the royal family until 1975. Like the palace, Siang Thong Temple is located near the Mekong River. The main hall represents classic Luang Prabang temple architecture, with a spectacular Tree of life motif on the back wall.

Pussey hill

Located in the city center of Luang Bang, it is the highest point in the whole city of Luang Bang. Standing on the top of Pusi Hill, you can have a panoramic view of the whole town of Luang Prabang. Palace Museum
