The Panzhou to Xingyi High-Speed Rail (hereafter referred to as the Panxing HSR) opens operations on November 28. With 7 pairs of bullet trains running daily, the fastest travel time from Xingyi South Station to Panzhou Station and to Guiyang North Station is 33 minutes and 1 hour 56 minutes respectively. This will strongly promote the development of tourism resources along the route and foster high-quality regional economic and social development.
The Panxing HSR is located in the southwestern part of Guizhou Province. The line starts from Panzhou Station in Panzhou City, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, and ends at Xingyi South Station in Xingyi City, Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. The line spans 99 kilometers with a design speed of 250 km/h. It has three stations along the entire route: Panzhou, Baotian, and Xingyi South. Among these, Baotian and Xingyi South are newly built stations, while Panzhou Station was renovated and expanded.
Upon completion and opening, the maximum operating speed of the Panxing HSR is 250 km/h. During the initial operation period, 7 pairs of cross-line bullet trains will run daily. The fastest travel times from Guiyang North, Tongren, Chongqing West, and Chengdu South stations to Xingyi South Station are approximately 2 hours 1 minute, 3 hours 54 minutes, 4 hours 29 minutes, and 6 hours 26 minutes respectively. To meet different travel needs, the railway department has implemented a flexible, discounted, and differentiated market-based fare mechanism on the Panxing HSR, providing passengers with more choices. To celebrate the HSR opening, the local government is offering a welcome gift: From November 28 to December 31, 2025, passengers traveling to Xingyi South Station by HSR can enjoy free admission to the first ticket-gated attraction at some 3A-level and above scenic spots within Qianxinan Prefecture for 7 days following the date of their HSR ticket issuance.
Xingyi: A 'Treasure Town' Blessed by Geography
Xingyi holds a special geographical position in Guizhou, situated at the central hub of the junction of Guizhou, Yunnan, and Guangxi provinces (autonomous region), earning it the name 'Thoroughfare of Three Provinces.' This location not only creates its unique transport status but also grants it distinctive climatic charm.
