With the 2025-2026 snow season approaching, Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province is issuing 5,000 winter cultural tourism vouchers covering multiple scenarios including ski resort tickets, accommodation, dining, and cultural creative shopping. This multi-format integration aims to stimulate consumption potential. This winter, Zhangjiakou promises "weekly activities, monthly festivals, and distinctive features across the region," as learned from the recently held Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Cultural Tourism Synergistic Development and Consumption Promotion event.

Chongli ski resorts have undergone comprehensive upgrades for the new season. According to reports, Wanlong Ski Resort has newly created themed ski trails; Thaiwoo Ski Town offers a new "Ski-in/Ski-out" experience connected to a five-star hotel and has added snowmobiling; Fulong Ski Area has optimized trail topography and added pet-friendly rooms; Genting Resort has extended cable car operating hours, and over 20 new brands have entered the commercial circle, creating upscale cultural tourism consumption scenes. Meanwhile, public ice and snow parks like Die Lian Hua in Xiahuayuan District and Linyu Valley in Wanquan District are also opening their doors.

From December 2025 to March 2026, the 5,000 winter cultural tourism vouchers will be distributed via the "Smart Tour Zhangjiakou" platform and major e-commerce platforms. Zhangjiakou has also partnered with SF Express to issue 10,000 10%-off "Ski Equipment Shipping" coupons, allowing skiers to travel light, ski worry-free, and return conveniently. Six ski resorts in Chongli District — Yinhe, Genting, Snow Ruyi, Fulong, Thaiwoo, and Shixuechuan — offer free ski passes for children under 1.2 meters tall. Fulong Ski Area additionally offers free night skiing on Tuesdays for female guests, and free skiing for university students and residents of Zhangjiakou's municipal districts. Snow Ruyi Ski Resort offers half-price sightseeing vehicles and cable cars for seniors over 60. Beyond the core skiing areas, Linyu Valley in Wanquan District and Liupingsi Ice and Snow Park in the Economic Development Zone offer discounts via Douyin group purchases, with Liupingsi also providing free admission for children under 1.2 meters.

From November 25, 2025, to March 4, 2026, Zhangjiakou will host 29 professional competitions, including 10 international and 10 national-level events. World-class athletes like Eileen Gu are set to appear.

Regarding transportation support, Zhangjiakou Ningyuan Airport has launched four routes: Zhangjiakou-Shijiazhuang-Hangzhou, Zhangjiakou-Shijiazhuang-Shanghai Pudong, Zhangjiakou-Shijiazhuang-Haikou, and Zhangjiakou-Shijiazhuang, enabling tourists from southern China to reach Zhangjiakou's core ski areas within 4 hours. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's first panoramic sightseeing train, "Starlight · Yanzhao," commenced service from Beijing Station on November 15. Direct shuttle buses between Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Beijing South Station, and the seven major Chongli ski resorts operate 6 round trips daily, increasing dedicated transport links from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to key Zhangjiakou ice and snow attractions. Luggage storage points have been set up at Taizicheng High-Speed Rail Station, Ningyuan Airport, Zhangjiakou High-Speed Rail Station, and 116 hotels, achieving seamless "Air/Rail + Bus + Luggage Shipping" connectivity.

For public convenience, various ice and snow scenic areas have added service stations providing priority services for special groups, plus new childcare and pet care services. Enabled by smart technology, the "Smart Tour Zhangjiakou" platform offers visitors application scenarios like attraction tickets, hotel stays, flight/train bookings, and product purchases. Integrated with an AI interactive system, it provides 24/7 intelligent inquiry and personalized route planning, realizing "smart travel."
