“Co-existence between man and nature” is the theme of our time advocated by both the Chinese government and international community, and constructing a mountain tourism where man and nature co-exist harmoniously is the major mission of international mountain tourism in the post-COVID world. Around this topic, we will invite representatives of famous mountains, authoritative international organizations, and biosphere guards, to probe into how to facilitate consumers’ demands and supply innovation via new concepts, technologies, and patterns, in a bid to develop more premium, ecological consumer goods with features of mountain tourism, and to achieve the goal of long-lasting sustainable development based on harmonious co-existence. In doing so, we aim to establish a mechanism of categorizing and evaluating famous tourism mountains across the globe, and improve IMTA’s professionalism and appeal.

At the Seminar of International Mountain Spring Wellness Tourism held on the 2021 “International Mountain Tourism Day,” IMTA proposed the concept of “mountain hot spring wellness” for the first time, and reaped certain research results, making it a hot section of the mountain tourism industry. This topic will dig deeper into the standard system and development pattern of mountain hot spring tourism, to promote the industrialization of this sector, pave a new path ahead for developing “premium ecological products,” and jointly come up with solutions for building Guizhou into a hot spring province and constructing standards for mountain hot spring tourism.
